Winfield W. Heckert was born at Kasson, Minn., on Dec. 19, 1902, and joined E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company on Aug. 1, 1928. Dr. Heckert served in various capacities at the Experimental Station near Wilmington, and was made manager of the Technical Division of the Rayon Department in 1950. He died on April 4, 1988.
